## The Platform Organization That Works

Organizations that successfully deploy AI at scale — across departments, across use cases, across the institution — share a common organizational pattern.

A small platform team (3-5 people) manages the shared AI infrastructure: the platform deployment, the data connections, the security controls, the model configurations. This team doesn't build agents. It enables others to build agents.

Every department has one or two "AI leads" — not necessarily technical people, but people who understand their department's workflows well enough to design useful agents. These leads work with the platform team to connect data sources and configure agents.
