In a span of seven days, three of the largest technology companies on earth each launched a platform explicitly designed to run autonomous AI agents inside enterprise organizations.

NVIDIA unveiled the Agent Toolkit at GTC 2026 with 17 adopters.

Google launched the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform at Cloud Next — a full rebrand of Vertex AI — and announced that 75% of all Google code is now AI-generated.

OpenAI shipped Workspace Agents, enabling multi-tool workflows to run without human intervention at each step.

This is not coincidence. It is the enterprise AI market reaching a structural inflection point — the moment when AI stops being a productivity tool and starts being organizational infrastructure.

## NVIDIA: The Infrastructure Bet

Jensen Huang walked onto the GTC 2026 stage in his trademark leather jacket and announced something most analysts have been slow to process.

## Google: 75% AI-Generated Code

The multi-model support is architecturally significant.

For two years, the enterprise AI conversation was about which model was "best." Google's platform frames the question differently: which model is right for each workflow, and how does an organization govern routing across multiple providers?

But the decisions organizations make in 2026 about which agent stack to adopt will have long-term consequences.

**Four questions worth asking before committing:**

**1. Do you own the code?**
Every major platform launched this week is vendor-hosted. When the vendor changes pricing, deprecates a feature, or gets acquired, your agent infrastructure follows.

Organizations that receive the full source code — and can deploy it on their own infrastructure — are not exposed to these risks.

**2. Can you switch models?**
Google's multi-model support at Cloud Next signals what the market now understands: LLM capabilities shift rapidly.

The organizations that will perform best in 2026 and 2027 are the ones that can route to the best model for each task without rebuilding their agent stack.

**3. Where does your data go?**
Enterprise agents query sensitive systems — HR records, financial data, customer information, clinical data.

Every agent interaction that passes through a third-party-hosted platform sends context about your organization to infrastructure you do not control.

Government and regulated industry organizations have particularly high exposure here.

**4. What does scale cost?**
Per-seat pricing on agent platforms has the same structural problem as per-seat pricing on SaaS.
