**ibl.ai publishes a free Oracle NetSuite agent skill: a SKILL.md that teaches an AI agent to read and write Oracle NetSuite data and expose it as an MCP tool. Download it, connect your own Oracle NetSuite credentials, and run the agent on ibl.ai Agentic OS, where you own all the code and the data.**

NetSuite is a cloud ERP. An account stores the general ledger, customers, vendors, items, sales orders, invoices, purchase orders, inventory, saved searches and reports.

## What is the Oracle NetSuite API, and what can an agent read from it?

REST record service for CRUD on records (/services/rest/record/v1/), metadata catalog, and query service for SuiteQL (/services/rest/query/v1/suiteql) and datasets. The AI Connector Service exposes MCP tools.

- API: SuiteTalk REST Web Services, SuiteQL, NetSuite AI Connector Service (REST)
- Access: Issued by your administrator
- Base URL: https://{accountId}.suitetalk.api.netsuite.com/services/rest/
- Authentication: OAuth 2.0; Token-based authentication (TBA)

An admin enables the REST Web Services feature (accepting SuiteCloud terms), creates an integration record, and assigns a role with REST Web Services and Log in using Access Tokens. Oracle advises against the Administrator role.

REST web services support OAuth 2.0 and TBA. The AI Connector Service uses OAuth 2.0 authorization code grant; the role needs MCP Server Connection and Log in using OAuth 2.0 Access Tokens.

### What can an agent read from Oracle NetSuite?

- **Records** — GET /services/rest/record/v1/{recordType}/{id}, e.g. customer, salesorder, invoice.
- **SuiteQL queries** — POST /services/rest/query/v1/suiteql with header Prefer: transient; page with limit and offset.
- **Record metadata** — GET /services/rest/record/v1/metadata-catalog/ describes record types and fields.
- **Datasets** — GET /services/rest/query/v1/dataset/{id}/result returns a SuiteAnalytics dataset.
- **Reports and saved searches** — Run via the MCP Standard Tools SuiteApp in an AI client.

### What can an agent write to Oracle NetSuite?

- **Create records** — POST to the record service, e.g. a new customer or sales order.
- **Update records** — PATCH /services/rest/record/v1/{recordType}/{id}.
- **Delete records** — DELETE on a record URL. Confirm with the user first.

Limits: A SuiteQL query returns at most 100,000 results; beyond that Oracle points to SuiteAnalytics Connect. Concurrency governance applies, and the AI Connector integration record has an editable concurrency limit.

Holds financial records, customer and vendor data, and may hold payroll data. Oracle states the AI Connector Service is not HIPAA-compliant and must not be used with ePHI.

## How do I connect Oracle NetSuite to an AI agent over MCP?

Oracle publishes an official MCP server: [NetSuite AI Connector Service](https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/saas/netsuite/ns-online-help/article_3200541651.html).

MCP endpoint at {accountId}.suitetalk.api.netsuite.com/services/mcp/v1/. MCP Standard Tools SuiteApp adds record, report, saved search and SuiteQL tools within the user's role.

You can register that server on ibl.ai as it is, or use the SKILL.md below when you want the agent to call the SuiteTalk REST Web Services, SuiteQL, NetSuite AI Connector Service directly.

On ibl.ai an MCP connection is three records, and a working integration always needs all three:

1. **Register the server** — `POST …/mcp-servers/` with its URL, a transport (`sse`, `websocket` or `streamable_http`) and an `auth_type` of `none`, `token` or `oauth2`.
2. **Create a connection** that holds the credential, scoped to the whole organization (`platform`), to a single agent, or to each user (`user`).
3. **Enable it on the agent** — `mcp-tool` in `tool_slugs` and the server id in `mcp_servers`. Both lists are replaced, not merged, so read the settings first.

For an API key or a service credential, one `token` connection at `platform` scope serves the whole organization; scope a connection to a single agent when that agent needs narrower access than the rest.

The field reference is in [MCP server connections](https://ibl.ai/developer/platform/mcp/mcp-connections), and the [/iblai-api-agent-mcp](https://ibl.ai/developer/skills/iblai-api-agent-mcp) skill runs all three steps from a coding agent.

## What does the Oracle NetSuite agent skill do?

The Oracle NetSuite skill is one SKILL.md file named `iblai-connect-oracle-netsuite`. It gives an agent the auth conventions, what to read, which writes need a person's confirmation, the ibl.ai MCP wiring, example prompts and guardrails.

[Download the Oracle NetSuite SKILL.md](https://ibl.ai/developer/connectors/oracle-netsuite/SKILL.md)

Save it as `.claude/skills/iblai-connect-oracle-netsuite/SKILL.md`, or in your agent's skills folder. The ibl.ai platform skills it calls come from one install:

```
npx skills add iblai/vibe --all
```

This connector skill is a starting point maintained on ibl.ai, not part of the iblai/vibe repository.

It was checked against Oracle's documentation on October 20, 2026. Test it against your own Oracle NetSuite setup before you rely on it.

### What can I ask an Oracle NetSuite agent to do?

- “What were total sales by subsidiary last quarter?”
- “List invoices over 60 days past due with customer and amount”
- “Run our 'Open Purchase Orders' saved search and summarize by vendor”
- “Create a customer record for Northwind Traders with net 30 terms”

## How do I run an Oracle NetSuite agent on ibl.ai?

[Agentic OS](https://ibl.ai/product/agentic-os) is where the agent runs on ibl.ai: it holds the Oracle NetSuite MCP connection, the model the agent uses, its instructions and its conversation history.

On ibl.ai you own all the code and the data, run it model-agnostic across any LLM, and pay with no per-seat pricing — so you can deploy anywhere, from your own cloud to a fully air-gapped network.

## What else should I know before connecting Oracle NetSuite to an AI agent?

### Is there an official Oracle NetSuite MCP server?

Yes. Oracle publishes [NetSuite AI Connector Service](https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/saas/netsuite/ns-online-help/article_3200541651.html).

You can register it on ibl.ai as an MCP server, or use the SKILL.md when you want the agent to call the SuiteTalk REST Web Services, SuiteQL, NetSuite AI Connector Service directly.

### Who can get Oracle NetSuite API credentials?

An admin enables the REST Web Services feature (accepting SuiteCloud terms), creates an integration record, and assigns a role with REST Web Services and Log in using Access Tokens. Oracle advises against the Administrator role.

### Does Oracle NetSuite data leave my infrastructure when an ibl.ai agent uses it?

On ibl.ai, you own all the code and the data. Self-hosted in your cloud or data center, the agent, its MCP connections and its conversation logs stay inside your perimeter.

Because the platform is model-agnostic, you can point the agent at a model you host, so Oracle NetSuite records need not reach a third-party model provider.

### Is the Oracle NetSuite agent skill free to use?

Yes. The SKILL.md is a free download with no sign-up. It assumes you already have Oracle NetSuite credentials, and your agreement with Oracle still governs how you use its API.
