# Access Grades ## Purpose View learner responses and grades for problem-bank questions in an LMS course—either by downloading reports or by viewing the course as a specific student. --- ## Method 1: Download Problem Response Reports (Recommended) ### Access Data Downloads 1. Go to the **Instructor Panel**. 2. Click **Data Download**. ### Select Scope You can generate reports at multiple levels: - Full Course - Section - Subsection - Unit - Specific Problem **Example:** - To capture an Exit Evaluation, select the appropriate section or subsection. - To drill into a single question, go down to the unit or specific problem level. ### Generate Report 1. Select the desired scope. 2. Click **Create Problem Response Report**. 3. Wait for confirmation that the report has been generated. 4. Download the file to view: - Each learner’s response - Scores - Submission details This method is especially helpful for problem banks, since learners often receive randomized questions. --- ## Method 2: View as a Specific Learner ### Generate Progress Link 1. Go to the **Student Admin** tab. 2. Select **View Specific Learner Grades and Progress**. 3. Enter the learner’s email or username. 4. Click **Generate Progress Link**. 5. Open the link in a new tab. ### View Gradebook - You’ll see the learner’s scores per exam. - Navigate to the **Course Outline** to view activity from the student’s perspective. - If the view shows “staff,” switch to specific learner/student mode and enter their username. ### Inspect Problem Bank Questions Open an exam or unit the student completed. You can see: - Which randomized question they received - Their selected answer - Number of attempts used - Submission history Additional options include: - Reset attempts - Rescore submissions - View submission status --- ## Best Practice for Problem Banks Because problem banks randomize questions: - Use **Data Download reports** for accurate reporting across all learners. - Use **View as Learner** when investigating a specific student’s attempts. --- ## Result You can accurately review learner performance on problem-bank questions—either through downloadable reports or by stepping into the learner’s perspective to inspect answers, attempts, and progress.
