What is the book about?
An AI-native university is not a university that uses AI. It is an institution redesigned from the ground up on the assumption that artificial intelligence exists.
The book's premise is simple: adding AI to a university is like adding electricity to a factory built for steam power. The technology helps, but it does not redesign the system. An AI-native university starts from a different question: if we were designing a university today, knowing that AI exists, what would we build?
Twenty chapters and seven appendices answer that question for the learning model, the campus, research, governance and the AI operating system, and close with a 36-month roadmap for getting there. The Seven Principles of an AI-Native University, in chapter 3, are the part most readers quote back to us.
Which edition should I read?
- The hardcover, for the desk and the board room: 289 pages, on Amazon.
- The web edition, free and complete, at ibl.ai/book/ai-native-university: every chapter is its own page, readable and linkable, and every section is also served as markdown for AI agents.
- The PDF, the print layout, free to download.
The text is identical across all three. Nothing in the hardcover is held back from the free edition.
Who wrote it?
Mikel Amigot is the founder and CEO of ibl.ai, the family-owned sovereign AI company in New York whose platform runs for 1.6M+ users from 400+ organizations. The AI-Native University is the first title in a series from Memorare Press; The AI-Native School, The AI-Native Enterprise and The AI-Native Hospital are among those that follow.
The blueprint in the book is the one ibl.ai builds for its university partners: the full source code and all of the data, self-hosted or in your own cloud, running any model you choose, with no per-seat pricing. On ibl.ai you own all the code and the data.
