Salesforce Financial Services Cloud MCP Server & Agent Skill

Last updated

ibl.ai publishes a free Salesforce Financial Services Cloud agent skill: a SKILL.md that teaches an AI agent to read and write Salesforce Financial Services Cloud data and expose it as an MCP tool. Download it, connect your own Salesforce Financial Services Cloud credentials, and run the agent on ibl.ai Agentic OS, where you own all the code and the data.

CRM for banks, wealth managers and insurers on the Salesforce Platform (the developer docs now title it Agentforce Financial Services). Holds clients, households, financial accounts, balances, transactions, holdings and goals.

What is the Salesforce Financial Services Cloud API, and what can an agent read from it?

sObject CRUD, SOQL query and SOSL search over FSC objects such as FinancialAccount, FinancialAccountParty, FinancialAccountTransaction, FinancialGoal and AccountContactRelation (household membership).

  • API: Salesforce Platform REST, SOAP and Bulk APIs with Financial Services Cloud standard objects (Mixed)
  • Access: Issued by your administrator
  • Base URL: https://{MyDomainName}.my.salesforce.com/services/data/v{XX.X}/
  • Authentication: OAuth 2.0 via external client app or connected app

The org's admin creates an external client app or connected app and grants API access to users. Requires an edition with API access. FinancialAccount needs the Financial Account Management Standard Objects setting turned on.

Salesforce docs: a client must be authorized through an external client app or connected app and an OAuth 2.0 flow. Calls run as the authorized user, so field-level security, object permissions and sharing apply.

What can an agent read from Salesforce Financial Services Cloud?

  • Financial accounts β€” FinancialAccount standard object (API v61.0+): investment, bank and credit card accounts, credit limits, rates. GET /sobjects/FinancialAccount or SOQL.
  • Account owners and roles β€” FinancialAccountParty links people and businesses to an account; the managed-package equivalent is FinServ__FinancialAccountRole__c.
  • Households β€” Household record type on Account; AccountContactRelation records each member's role in the household.
  • Transactions and balances β€” FinancialAccountTransaction and FinancialAccountBalance standard objects.
  • Goals β€” FinancialGoal standard object (API v59.0+), a financial goal for a person account.
  • Holdings β€” FinServ__FinancialHolding__c (managed package): positions such as shares of stock in an investment account.

What can an agent write to Salesforce Financial Services Cloud?

  • Financial account records β€” create(), update() and upsert() are supported calls on FinancialAccount.
  • Household membership β€” Create or update AccountContactRelation records to add a contact to a household.
  • Record deletes β€” delete() is supported on FinancialAccount and other FSC objects; removes client financial records. Confirm with the user first.

Limits: Enterprise and Unlimited editions start at 100,000 API requests per 24 hours plus per-license additions; Developer Edition gets 15,000. GET /limits reports remaining calls; protection limits return 403 REQUEST_LIMIT_EXCEEDED.

Client, household and account records are GLBA nonpublic personal information (account numbers, balances, holdings, income). Any card numbers stored in account records are PCI cardholder data.

How do I connect Salesforce Financial Services Cloud to an AI agent over MCP?

Salesforce publishes an official MCP server: Salesforce Hosted MCP Servers.

Standard servers (sobject-reads, sobject-mutations, sobject-deletes, sobject-all) are off until an admin enables them; per-user auth; field-level security and sharing apply.

You can register that server on ibl.ai as it is, or use the SKILL.md below when you want the agent to call the Salesforce Platform REST, SOAP and Bulk APIs with Financial Services Cloud standard objects directly.

On ibl.ai an MCP connection is three records, and a working integration always needs all three:

  1. Register the server β€” POST …/mcp-servers/ with its URL, a transport (sse, websocket or streamable_http) and an auth_type of none, token or oauth2.
  2. Create a connection that holds the credential, scoped to the whole organization (platform), to a single agent, or to each user (user).
  3. Enable it on the agent β€” mcp-tool in tool_slugs and the server id in mcp_servers. Both lists are replaced, not merged, so read the settings first.

For an API key or a service credential, one token connection at platform scope serves the whole organization; scope a connection to a single agent when that agent needs narrower access than the rest.

The field reference is in MCP server connections, and the /iblai-api-agent-mcp skill runs all three steps from a coding agent.

What does the Salesforce Financial Services Cloud agent skill do?

The Salesforce Financial Services Cloud skill is one SKILL.md file named iblai-connect-salesforce-financial-services-cloud. It gives an agent the auth conventions, what to read, which writes need a person's confirmation, the ibl.ai MCP wiring, example prompts and guardrails.

Download the Salesforce Financial Services Cloud SKILL.md

Save it as .claude/skills/iblai-connect-salesforce-financial-services-cloud/SKILL.md, or in your agent's skills folder. The ibl.ai platform skills it calls come from one install:

This connector skill is a starting point maintained on ibl.ai, not part of the iblai/vibe repository.

It was checked against Salesforce's documentation on October 20, 2026. Test it against your own Salesforce Financial Services Cloud setup before you rely on it.

What can I ask a Salesforce Financial Services Cloud agent to do?

  • β€œList every financial account in the Rivera household with its current balance”
  • β€œWhich clients have a FinancialGoal due this year that is less than 50% funded?”
  • β€œShow the last 30 days of transactions on account 4471 and flag anything over $10,000”
  • β€œAdd Maria Chen to the Chen household as Spouse”

How do I run a Salesforce Financial Services Cloud agent on ibl.ai?

Agentic OS is where the agent runs on ibl.ai: it holds the Salesforce Financial Services Cloud MCP connection, the model the agent uses, its instructions and its conversation history.

On ibl.ai you own all the code and the data, run it model-agnostic across any LLM, and pay with no per-seat pricing β€” so you can deploy anywhere, from your own cloud to a fully air-gapped network.

Which ibl.ai agents work with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud data?

Which ibl.ai platform skills does a Salesforce Financial Services Cloud agent use?

  • /iblai-api-agent-mcp β€” MCP connectors for ibl.ai agents, end to end
  • /iblai-vibe-agent-mcp β€” Add the agent MCP tab (Model Context Protocol connector management with featured connectors, custom connectors, OAuth,…
  • /iblai-api-agent-tool β€” Enable or disable an ibl.ai agent's tools via the platform API

What else should I know before connecting Salesforce Financial Services Cloud to an AI agent?

Is there an official Salesforce Financial Services Cloud MCP server?

Yes. Salesforce publishes Salesforce Hosted MCP Servers.

You can register it on ibl.ai as an MCP server, or use the SKILL.md when you want the agent to call the Salesforce Platform REST, SOAP and Bulk APIs with Financial Services Cloud standard objects directly.

Who can get Salesforce Financial Services Cloud API credentials?

The org's admin creates an external client app or connected app and grants API access to users. Requires an edition with API access. FinancialAccount needs the Financial Account Management Standard Objects setting turned on.

Does Salesforce Financial Services Cloud data leave my infrastructure when an ibl.ai agent uses it?

On ibl.ai, you own all the code and the data. Self-hosted in your cloud or data center, the agent, its MCP connections and its conversation logs stay inside your perimeter.

Because the platform is model-agnostic, you can point the agent at a model you host, so Salesforce Financial Services Cloud records need not reach a third-party model provider.

Is the Salesforce Financial Services Cloud agent skill free to use?

Yes. The SKILL.md is a free download with no sign-up. It assumes you already have Salesforce Financial Services Cloud credentials, and your agreement with Salesforce still governs how you use its API.

Which other data sources can an AI agent connect to alongside Salesforce Financial Services Cloud?

Which other Financial Services systems have a connector?

Every connector, grouped by sector, is on the connectors hub.
