EAB Navigate360 MCP Server & Agent Skill
Last updated
ibl.ai publishes a free EAB Navigate360 agent skill: a SKILL.md that teaches an AI agent to read EAB Navigate360 data through the integration path EAB supports and expose it as an MCP tool. Download it, connect your own EAB Navigate360 credentials, and run the agent on ibl.ai Agentic OS, where you own all the code and the data.
Navigate360 (formerly EAB Navigate) is EAB's cloud CRM for student success and advising across the student journey. It is populated mainly from the institution's SIS and can add LMS, Common App and custom data such as financial aid or housing.
What is the EAB Navigate360 API, and what can an agent read from it?
EAB says institutions can extract data through a suite of APIs and a regular bulk data export, and that Navigate360 has pre-built integrations with SIS, LMS, email and calendar services and the Common App. No API reference is published.
- API: No public developer API; EAB-arranged data APIs and bulk data export (Mixed)
- Access: No public API
- Authentication: not published by EAB
EAB publishes no public API documentation. Institutions (EAB calls them partners) arrange SIS feeds, data APIs and bulk exports with EAB during implementation; an agent should work from those exports or the institution's own SIS.
Not publicly documented. Credentials for EAB's data APIs or bulk export are arranged between the institution and EAB.
What can an agent read from EAB Navigate360?
- Bulk data export β A regular bulk export that other systems connect to and pull from; format and schedule are set with EAB.
- Student profiles β Built from the institution's SIS feed; the same data is usually reachable directly in the SIS.
- LMS and Common App data β Optional integrations add LMS activity and Common App information to Navigate360.
- Custom datasets β Partner-supplied data such as financial aid or housing, loaded into Navigate360 for workflows.
What can an agent write to EAB Navigate360?
This skill only reads EAB Navigate360 data; it documents no write calls, so an agent built on it cannot change an EAB Navigate360 record.
Student success data drawn from the SIS is FERPA education records; advising notes may be sensitive. EAB states it complies with FERPA and GDPR practices.
How do I connect EAB Navigate360 to an AI agent over MCP?
We could not confirm an MCP server in EAB's own documentation as of October 2026.
The practical path is an MCP server you host over the integration path EAB supports β an export, a reporting database or a partner interface β or the SKILL.md below.
On ibl.ai an MCP connection is three records, and a working integration always needs all three:
- Register the server β
POST β¦/mcp-servers/with its URL, a transport (sse,websocketorstreamable_http) and anauth_typeofnone,tokenoroauth2. - Create a connection that holds the credential, scoped to the whole organization (
platform), to a single agent, or to each user (user). - Enable it on the agent β
mcp-toolintool_slugsand the server id inmcp_servers. Both lists are replaced, not merged, so read the settings first.
For an API key or a service credential, one token connection at platform scope serves the whole organization; scope a connection to a single agent when that agent needs narrower access than the rest.
The field reference is in MCP server connections, and the /iblai-api-agent-mcp skill runs all three steps from a coding agent.
What does the EAB Navigate360 agent skill do?
The EAB Navigate360 skill is one SKILL.md file named iblai-connect-eab-navigate. It gives an agent the auth conventions, what to read, which writes need a person's confirmation, the ibl.ai MCP wiring, example prompts and guardrails.
Download the EAB Navigate360 SKILL.md
Save it as .claude/skills/iblai-connect-eab-navigate/SKILL.md, or in your agent's skills folder. The ibl.ai platform skills it calls come from one install:
$ npx skills add iblai/vibe --allThis connector skill is a starting point maintained on ibl.ai, not part of the iblai/vibe repository.
It was checked against EAB's documentation on October 20, 2026. Test it against your own EAB Navigate360 setup before you rely on it.
What can I ask an EAB Navigate360 agent to do?
- βFrom last night's Navigate360 export, list students flagged at risk who have no advising appointmentβ
- βSummarize advising appointment volume by week from our Navigate360 data extractβ
- βWhich students in the export have an open alert but no case notes?β
How do I run an EAB Navigate360 agent on ibl.ai?
Agentic OS is where the agent runs on ibl.ai: it holds the EAB Navigate360 MCP connection, the model the agent uses, its instructions and its conversation history.
On ibl.ai you own all the code and the data, run it model-agnostic across any LLM, and pay with no per-seat pricing β so you can deploy anywhere, from your own cloud to a fully air-gapped network.

What else should I know before connecting EAB Navigate360 to an AI agent?
Is there an official EAB Navigate360 MCP server?
Not that we could confirm. We could not confirm an MCP server in EAB's own documentation as of October 2026.
The SKILL.md on this page gives an agent the integration directly, and any MCP server you host can be registered on ibl.ai.
Who can get EAB Navigate360 API credentials?
EAB publishes no public API documentation. Institutions (EAB calls them partners) arrange SIS feeds, data APIs and bulk exports with EAB during implementation; an agent should work from those exports or the institution's own SIS.
Does EAB Navigate360 data leave my infrastructure when an ibl.ai agent uses it?
On ibl.ai, you own all the code and the data. Self-hosted in your cloud or data center, the agent, its MCP connections and its conversation logs stay inside your perimeter.
Because the platform is model-agnostic, you can point the agent at a model you host, so EAB Navigate360 records need not reach a third-party model provider.
Is the EAB Navigate360 agent skill free to use?
Yes. The SKILL.md is a free download with no sign-up. It assumes you already have EAB Navigate360 credentials, and your agreement with EAB still governs how you use its API.
